Southern Illinois University School of Law is a law school in Carbondale, Illinois. The college offers Juris Doctor, Master of Laws, and Master of Legal Studies programs. It also offers dual degree programs in Accounting, Medicine, Education, Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Work, and Electrical & Computer Engineering. Juris Doctorate students attending full time and taking summer classes may be able to coordinate to graduate in two and a half years, rather than the standard three year J.D. program.

The Southern Illinois University School of Law’s mission to serve the public good began in 1972, when it was established by the Illinois state legislature. Its first class started in August 1973. Presently the school resides in the Lesar Law Building, named for its first dean Hiram H. Lesar.

According to the Law School Admission Council Official Guide to ABA-Approved Law Schools [1], the school has a total enrollment of 378 students. Entering students have a 25-75% distribution of 3.00-3.60 UGPA, and 151-157 LSAT Score. Tuition and fees are $12,750 for in-state residents, and $32,910 for out-of-state residents.
